Transportation

When choosing a vehicle for a child, the most important factors to consider are their age, physical abilities, and self-confidence. Different solutions are suitable for children at different stages – from their first push bikes to independent cycling or scootering.

1-2 years: first introduction to movement

At this age, bikes with a handle for parents or push-along cars are best. The child is just learning to move, so stability and safety are paramount.

  • Parents control movement and speed
  • The child gets used to steering, sitting, and direction of movement
  • This is an excellent transitional stage before independent riding

2-4 years: balance and independence

This is the ideal time for balance bikes and first scooters.

  • Balance bikes help learn balance (without pedals)
  • The child naturally prepares for the transition to a bicycle
  • Three-wheel scooters provide a sense of stability and safety
  • This is one of the most important stages, as fundamental movement skills are formed here.

3-5 years: more control and confidence

At this stage, children move more confidently, so you can choose:

  • More advanced scooters (often still with 3 wheels)
  • First bicycles with training wheels
  • Continue with a balance bike if more practice is still needed
  • The most important things are comfort, adjustable height, and easy handling.

5-8 years: speed and freedom

At this age, children are ready for real movement:

  • Bicycles without training wheels
  • Two-wheel scooters
  • Larger, faster models for more active riding
  • Children begin to feel speed, freedom, and increasing independence.

And don't forget the most important thing – safety. Helmets and protective gear help prevent injuries and allow children to enjoy movement more confidently. Most importantly, vehicles for children encourage spending more time outdoors, less time in front of screens, and creating those real, active childhood moments.
